University Grant Program
In keeping with VMARK's role as a provider of cutting-edge software development tools and state-of-the-art approaches to client/server migration, we have established a program to assist in the education of tomorrow's leaders in both business and software engineering.
Through our University Grant Program, VMARK grants copies of our Object Studio development toolset to colleges and universities throughout North America to be used in courses that teach the design and development of information systems.
Requirements for Participation
Any accredited post-secondary educational institution that teaches courses in the area of information systems or software engineering is eligible for a grant of VMARK Object Studio software.
- Institutions applying for grants must agree to use the software for teaching purporses only. If you're interested in using Object Studio to create systems for your institution's own use, the University Grant Program is not applicable. Instead, please telephone (800) O-B-J-E-C-T-S for the name and number of a sales representative who can provide you with information on academic discounts.
- For a grant application to be considered, the instructor must include (1) the course name and number, (2) a course description or course outline showing clearly how Object Studio will be used, and (3) a syllabus or reading list for the course.
- The course must be available to students at least once per calendar year.
- The college or university must agree to occasionally serve as a reference site for Object Studio, including answering reasonable questions from prospective users.
- Grant recipients must provide VMARK with a yearly written report of their activities using Object Studio and proposed future activities for the next calendar year. Your observations are important to us!
Program Fee
Participation in the University Grant Program is free of charge other than costs of shipping, handling, documentation, media, and optional maintenance/support.
